MUNICH, Germany -- Bayern Munichs chairman is giving coach Pep Guardiola a ringing endorsement as he prepares for his second season in charge, saying that the club will never fire him. Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was responding to questions in Sundays Welt am Sonntag newspaper about whether he was worried that Bayern could struggle this season since many of its stars havent yet returned after playing at the World Cup. The interviewer recalled that Bayern coaches were dismissed in disappointing seasons following the last two World Cups. Rummenigge said Guardiola will remain in charge "at least until his contract ends" in 2016. He was quoted as saying: "Bayern will never dismiss Pep Guardiola. I can give you that in writing today." Not only did it tie the game at 1, it happened so fast that the Devils had 1:28 left on the second power play. Instead of sagging while playing their second game in as many nights, the Bruins responded. Marchand scored his league-leading fifth short-handed goal and the red-hot Iginla pushed the lead to two goals less than a minute late. "Its always nice when you are able to get a goal right after they score one, and getting it short-handed is always nice," Marchand said.
