(STATS) -- Oh, did the list of unbeaten FCS teams lessen considerably after the two biggest games in the FCS on Saturday lived up to their billing.Top-ranked North Dakota State fell 19-17 on a last-second touchdown by No. 11 South Dakota State in the Missouri Valley Football Conference and No. 5 Chattanooga lost 22-14 at No. 8 The Citadel in the Southern Conference. The Citadel and No. 2 Sam Houston State, both 6-0, are the only FCS unbeatens. Harvard also suffered its first loss Saturday.South Dakota State (4-2, 3-0 MVFC) stunned the five-time reigning MVFC and FCS champion Bison (5-1, 2-1) on Taryn Christions 2-yard touchdown pass to Jake Wieneke on 4th-and-1 with one second remaining. The Jackrabbits, who won the Dakota Marker trophy and ended an eight-game losing streak against NDSU, scored the final 16 points after they trailed 17-3 in the third quarter at the Fargodome.Christion wore down the Bison with 444 yards of total offense. He completed 24 of 42 pass attempts for 303 yards and two touchdowns with one interception, and rushed for 141 yards on 20 carries.Tight end Dallas Goedert (11 receptions, 150 yards, one TD) and Wieneke (6-108-1) were Christions favorite targets as SDSU racked up 523 yards and held the ball for 32 minutes, 23 seconds. An opponent has held the ball longer than the Bison in only two of their last 37 games, both NDSU losses. We were probably on the field a little bit more than we wanted to be, NDSU coach Chris Klieman said. Sooner or later they are going to make enough plays, and lets credit Taryn Christion. He did a phenomenal job moving the chains with his feet. The Citadel knows quite a bit about controlling game clock. The Bulldogs, who are 4-0 in the SoCon, entered the matchup between last years co-champs ranked second in the FCS in time of possession. Against Chattanooga (6-1, 4-1), the Bulldogs held the ball for 39:26 with 77 rushes among their 81 plays.Quarterback Dominque Allen led the way with 31 carries for 135 yards and two touchdowns. The Citadel went ahead for good 17-14 when Cody Clark kicked a 37-yard field goal on the final play of the first half.Mocs quarterback Alejandro Bennifield was penalized for intentional grounding from his teams end zone on the final play of the third quarter, resulting in a safety and a 19-14 Bulldogs lead.Clark then kicked a 32-yard field goal with 24 seconds remaining in the game. They changed up their defense a little bit, and it gave us a little trouble up front and in the passing game, Bennifield said. We dropped a couple of balls, and I threw a couple of balls incomplete. ASHBURN, Va. -- After a loss to New England last season, Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins posed a question to the three-time Super Bowl MVP who plays his position for the Patriots.I remember when I asked Tom Brady after the game last year, `When did it click for you? In a sense, I asked him, `When were you no longer a work-in-progress? And his answer was what I would echo here: `Its still clicking. Youve never figured it out. Youve never arrived, Cousins said Wednesday. And the minute you think you have is probably when youre going to be gone.So he is still hoping to improve. And Redskins coach Jay Gruden says his QB is still growing. It places Cousins in a bit of an awkward spot as he tries to prove, once again, he deserves a long-term contract while playing out one season under the franchise tag of just under $20 million. Both the player and team will hope that next Sundays game against the visiting Dallas Cowboys, featuring a pair of NFC East teams that are 0-1, works out better than Week 1: Cousins threw two interceptions, didnt have a touchdown pass, and the Redskins lost 38-16 to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night.Asked if he thought Cousins appeared tentative, Gruden replied: a little bit.Not scoring a touchdown until late there in the game and having some opportunities to make some plays that we didnt make -- were a little disappointed with the performance of everybody on offense, the coach said. He missed some throws that he normally makes, which Im ssure that he regrets and wishes he had back.ddddddddddddAs for how he would rate Cousins showing against Pittsburgh, Gruden said, I dont grade A, B, C, D, E and F. This isnt college or high school. But he understands that his performance has got to improve, as does everybody on this football team, including the coaches.Cousins went 30 of 43 for 329 yards, which doesnt seem awful at first glance. But there were mix-ups with receivers, cadence confusion that contributed to five false-start penalties, some throws that were off-target, the turnovers and lack of production in the red zone, including a pair of early drives that ended with field goals.Ill always view myself as a work-in-progress, Cousins said, and I think thats how other people can view me, too.Game notes DL Cullen Jenkins practiced Wednesday after re-signing with the team. He was released on cutdown day, Sept. 3. Gruden said the coaching staff would determine whether to have him on the active roster Sunday after seeing where he stands as far as knowing the defense and what kind of shape hes in again. ... DEs Chris Baker (rib, elbow) and Kendall Reyes (groin) and RT Morgan Moses (knee strain) were limited in practice Wednesday.---Online:AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and AP NFL Twitter feed: www.twitter.com/AP-NFL---Follow Howard Fendrich on Twitter at http://twitter.com/HowardFendrich Cheap Authentic Jerseys Discount NFL Jerseys Wholesale NFL Camo Jerseys Cheap NFL Autographed Jerseys China Jerseys Wholesale Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Store China Jerseys Wholesale Wholesale Throwback Jerseys Cheap Stitched Jerseys China NFL Hoodies Cheap Authentic Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Camo China NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China ' ' '
