PHILADELPHIA -- Phillies manager Pete Mackanin enjoyed watching Jake Thompson pitch on Sunday. That was about it.Thompson pitched seven effective innings, but Philadelphia managed just five hits in a 2-0 loss to Julio Teheran and the Atlanta Braves.It was nice to see, Mackanin said. After his first four outings with us we werent sure about what we were seeing, but his last two outings, especially today, he pitched extremely well.Thompson (1-5) allowed one run and four hits in his second consecutive quality start after a shaky beginning to his big league career.
