Big Blue Nation is going to love this edition of Kentucky basketball. The Wildcats are deep, quick, can score in transition, defend well and will get better and better. John Calipari lost so much talent from last season: Tyler Ulis, Jamal Murray, Skal Labissiere, Alex Poythress. Calipari is a recruiting machine and he has reloaded. You couldnt tell how his team would respond to playing in Madison Square Garden against a ranked team Tuesday night. Kentucky passed its test against Michigan State, 69-48.Remember, this squad has been together for about a month. It is young, but oh so talented. They play well as a team and Michigan States size advantage was a small factor. This Wildcats club can run, baby, run! They have tremendous athletic ability and go from the defensive end to the offensive end so fast. This has the making of a very special team.Going into the game Tuesday, there were questions about Malik Monks shooting ability. My friends, what I saw on Tuesday was star ability as Monk hit trifecta after trifecta. He had rhythm, touch and range.I was really impressed by the improvement shown by Isaiah Briscoe. He has become a much better shooter from the field and is a different player on the foul line. His hard work in the gym over the summer has paid off. I also love his toughness.Bam Adebayo is tough on the boards. DeAaron Fox runs the offense and is a superb passer. Then there are veterans like Derek Willis and Isaac Humphries who help out up front.Kentucky has the quickness and length to be a very good defensive team. Holding the Spartans below 50 points proved that. A young team has bought into Caliparis defensive philosophy.Michigan State is 0-2, but both losses came against ranked teams (Arizona and Kentucky). Miles Bridges had a rough shooting night, but the high-riser will be a special talent. Cassius Winston has to learn to stay out of foul trouble. The Spartans are undersized with Ben Carter and Gavin Schilling hurt, and it is possible that neither will return this season.Tom Izzo is a teacher and his kids will take these two losses and learn from them. Michigan State is doing a lot of flying during the first month of the season and that will also be a challenge.Kentucky has so much talent across the board and Calipari loves his team. They have all of the ingredients to make it to the Final Four.Wholesale Air Max 720 Authentic . Murray beat Sam Querrey 7-6 (5), 6-7 (3), 6-1, 6-3 to clinch Britains opening-round victory against the United States on Sunday at Petco Park. "Im proud of the way Im playing just now, because I had to do a lot of work to get back to where I want to be," Murray said after celebrating with his teammates on the red clay court in a temporary stadium in left field of the downtown home of baseballs San Diego Padres. Discount Air Max 720 Shoes . Tests earlier this week revealed a Grade 2 left hamstring strain for Sabathia, who was hurt in last Fridays start against San Francisco. Its an injury that will require about eight weeks to heal. He finished a disappointing campaign just 14-13 with a career-worst 4. http://www.wholesaleairmax720.com/ . -- Running backs Darren McFadden and Rashad Jennings were back at practice for the Oakland Raiders on Wednesday despite being hampered by hamstring injuries. Cheap Air Max 720 .H. -- Matt Kenseth made it 2 for 2 in the Chase, holding off teammate Kyle Busch to win Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Cheap Air Max 720 For Sale . Anthony Calvillo, through 20 CFL seasons, was frequently invincible and largely stoic in the heat of competition. But underneath the professional exterior he was, and is, compellingly human.TAMPA, Fla. -- Jameis Winston kept retreating toward his own goal line, seemingly in disregard for the best interests of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The second-year quarterback often is at his best when hes improvising, though, and the first overall pick from the 2015 draft kept scrambling into the end zone and back out before heaving a 38-yard completion to Mike Evans. The play started at his own 23 and ended at the Chicago 38, where Evans made a leaping catch. On the next play, Winston threw his second TD pass in a 36-10 rout of the Bears on Sunday.Thats Jameis making plays, Bucs coach Dirk Koetter said, though that hardly crossed the coachs mind while Winston was heading the wrong way with the Bucs clinging to a seven-point lead early in the third quarter.Throw it away. Throw it away. Do anything. Dont take a safety, Koetter recalled himself thinking. But, the thing about Jameis, Jameis is going to do some things that we dont plan for and hes going to do some things that sometimes I dont like, the coach added. But Jameis is going to make some plays. Thats who he is. ... You cant coach that out of him. Hes a special player in that respect.Winston finished 23 of 33 for 312 yards with one interception, helping the Bucs (4-5) win at home for the first time this season. The Bears (2-7) are winless in five road games. That was a great play by him. ... He retreated. I tried to get him again and he stepped up in the pocket and let it rip, Bears linebacker Leonard Floyd said. Great play by him.Winston threw for TDs of 10 yards to Cameron Brate and 43 yards to Freddie Martino, a former practice squad player with two career receptions. Two weeks after returning from injury and helping the Bears (2-7) beat NFC North leader Minnesota, Jay Cutler threw two interceptions and fumbled twice, one resulting in a third-quarter safety that put the Bucs up 29-10.The Bucs forced four turnovers overall and sacked Cutler four times. Even though the Bears are last in the league in scoring, it was a confidence-building performance for a defense that yielded 73 points and 1,087 yards -- including 857 passing -- in home losses to Oakland and Atlanta the previous two weeks.Cutler missed five games with a sprained right thumb before playing well and not turning the ball over against the Vikings. The Bears had a bye last week, but the momentum they built against Minnesota didnt carry over to the trip to Tampa.ddddddddddddThe Bears scored on Cameron Merediths 50-yard TD reception on the final play of the first half. Cutler finished 16 of 30 for 182 yards, and Tampa Bays Chris Conte returned a first-quarter interception 20 yards to give the Bucs a 7-0 lead.Any given week, you can win, you can lose. It depends on how you execute, Cutler said. Obviously, we didnt get the job done today.MARTINS RETURNBucs running back Doug Martin returned from a hamstring injury that had sidelined him since Week 2. He rushed for 33 yards on 16 carries and scored on a 1-yard run that made it 36-10 late in the fourth quarter.HAIL MARYDeep in their own territory and down two touchdowns after turning the ball over four times, the Bears werent content with merely running out the final 31 seconds of the opening half. They used timeouts after Jeremy Langfords 13-yard run and Cutlers 4-yard completion to the reserve running back, then set themselves up for a final play when KaDeem Carey scampered 16 yards to midfield on a reception before getting out of bounds. Cutler heaved his 50-yard TD pass to Meredith in the back of the end zone to finish a four-play, 83-yard drive.YOUNG PASSERWinstons second-quarter TD pass to Brate was the 40th of the second-year pros career. At 22 years, 312 days old, hes the youngest quarterback in NFL history to reach that plateau, doing it in 25 games. Hes on pace to top 4,000 yards passing for the second straight year, and has thrown for 19 TDs vs. 10 interceptions this season.INJURIESBears: Lost the right side of their offensive line in the first half, with guard Kyle Long leaving with an ankle injury and tackle Bobby Massie suffering a concussion. Defensive lineman Will Sutton (ankle) left early in the third quarter and did not return.Buccaneers: Starting left guard Kevin Phamphile (concussion protocol) did not play.UP NEXT:Bears: Remain on the road, facing the New York Giants.Buccaneers: Continue a stretch of four consecutive games outside the NFC South, traveling to Kansas City,---For more NFL coverage: http://www.pro32.ap.org and http://www.twitter.com/AP-NFL ' ' '
