Gareth Southgate could be confirmed as Englands new manager as early as next week, according to Sky sources. Southgate was interviewed by a five-man panel at St Georges Park on Monday after completing an unbeaten run of four games as interim boss earlier this month.Football Association chief executive Martin Glenn told Sky Sports News HQ last week Southgate is in a strong position to succeed Sam Allardyce on a permanent basis.
